Now, after more than a month, the system's been rock solid — haven't run into a single real issue. All that DKMS headache is gone, and the atomic updates with rollback give me real peace of mind: if anything goes wrong, one command and I'm back to normal. Bottom line: it's been a smooth, stable ride, and I've actually been able to focus on my work instead of fighting with drivers. Definitely recommend it if you're after stability — especially if you're running an NVIDIA card. Verdict: recommended. Was this review helpful? With Bluefin you only have to worry about installing the apps you wanna use.. and that's basically it. Good security defaults inherited from Fedora, drivers & codecs preinstalled, reliability of an immutable system. The only minuses that I can think of are the slightly bigger attack surface and ram usage compared to Fedora Silverblue. But this is just me nitpicking, as no regular user with modern hardware needs to worry about these kind of things. Was this review helpful? No fighting with secure boot, nvidia drivers etc. The immutable and flatpak approach is great as it keeps things isolated and underlying OS nice and clean. Used to use Arch but got sick of pacman issues. Use Fedora workstation and Silverblue elsewhere and those are great as well. Bluefin just packages all the stuff together nicely so I don't have to even think about it nor worry about updates bricking my system. Main issue I didn't want to deal with was the signing Nvidia drivers etc. Enabled dev mode and everything I needed to get vms spun up easily was already there. Yes it's not super hard to get working yourself but prefer to focus on getting things done vs tinkering with my os these days. You could say its kind of bloated coming from the extremely stripped down arch world, but again I'd rather get things done vs fight with my OS.
