I download his Cinnamon desktop ISO at the Internet Archive, add my collection of favorite apps via pacman and trizen, and copy my latest Hyprland/Waybar/various confs. Within an hour, I am ready to use the PC. I keep his Cinnamon DE with a few tweaks, but generally I use Hyprland. The Linux LTS is perfect for my old 2017 iMac. Ezarcher AUR helper of choice is trizen, which is really good. I do prefer a sddm to lightdm, but that is easily changed in five minutes. Smart collection of apps is included on the iso. Abiword would be the exception. If Ezarcher did an easy install zen kernel offering, I'd switch my Asus notebook to Ezarcher in a heartbeat. So, I have Garuda on the Asus. Garuda is OK too, BTW. This Linux guy is doing an awesome work for the community and it is noteworthy. This is why I am writing this note. Was this review helpful? The maintainer of that project is a very friendly gentleman who is willing to help and educate, always responds to questions and usually follows up with the videos when he discovers some issues or difficulties about his distro or main changes in Arch Linux overall. in my opinion Ezarcher Linux spin is very easy to use by either experienced users or someone who has a basic knowledge of Linux systems. Found his info from Youtube while researching arch spins. Clean system, well thought out. He provides the scripts which are available at sourceforge. Many thanks to the dev, a labor of love. BTW, the gent has his own bulds of debian at Sourceforge also. The iso's will run live to kick the tires. I'm an old win user, this was easy to poke around in.
